Majority rights and minority responsibilities: young people’s negotiations with human rights

This paper is a case study of student discussions rights and responsibilities, which contributes to filling the existing knowledge gap on topic. Tenth grade majority students who participated in three group inclusive citizenship spoke as belonging or minoritised Other. In line with earlier research findings, referenced human national values, while making explicit connections between minority responsibilities implicit references responsibility protect rights. analysis indicates need education (HRE) for both legal literacy deeper discussion can, example, be achieved through focus local context so that young people may better understand barriers rights, well role issues social justice.
